Commander, cosmetics and tips in Operation Overlord

What's free

Everything that decides a war is free: the tutorial, practice against bots, 3D skirmishes, joining any online match in any seat, and hosting one online match at a time. Nothing sold changes how the game plays. There are no units, income, research, better dice or stronger bots for money, no loot boxes and no ads.

Is anything on sale yet?

Check the support page at https://operationoverlord.earthablaze.com/support/. While payments aren't switched on, it says so and nothing can be bought. The free game works the same either way.

What's listed

Commander is a subscription, monthly or yearly. It lets you host up to five online matches at once, host at every speed including Campaign, and set cycle and combat-round lengths by hand. It also gives you the Commander gold map theme and the Commander badge. It's listed at A$4 a month or A$36 a year, but the support page always shows the current price.
Cosmetics are one-off purchases you keep. A map theme only changes your own screen. Camo is seen by your opponents in 3D battles and never makes units harder to spot. There's also a set with all three paid map themes and all three camo patterns.
Tips are pay what you like, once. Signed in, you get the Supporter badge. Signed out, the tip is anonymous.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payments go through Stripe's hosted checkout page, so your card details never reach the game's servers. You'll sign in with your email before you buy a plan or a cosmetic.

Cancelling Commander

Open your account page at https://operationoverlord.earthablaze.com/account/ and press Manage billing. That opens the payment processor's billing page, where you can switch between monthly and yearly, update your card, see receipts or cancel. Commander stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. There are no partial refunds for the rest of a period.

Refunds

There are no change-of-mind refunds in general. If something you paid for doesn't work as described, or never arrived, we'll always put it right with a refund, a fix or a replacement, and that never counts against your allowance.

Your Earth Ablaze account can also refund 2 payments in any rolling 12 months, across all Earth Ablaze games, as long as it's within 30 days of the payment. That covers:

A cosmetic or bundle, even if you've used it. It comes off your account.
Your first Commander payment. It's refunded and Commander is cancelled straight away.

Tips and later Commander renewals can't be refunded this way. A refund takes back what that payment bought, and a Founder badge earned with that payment goes too.

Codes

A discount code goes in the box on the payment page, or comes as a link that applies it for you. A code from a giveaway, a playtest or a stream goes in Redeem a code on your account page.
