Your campaign is saved
The game saves your campaign in your browser once a game day, and just before you leave the page to sign in or pay. Open the game again and choose Carry on on the start screen. It shows the day you reached.
- The save is on this device and this browser only, unless you're signed in.
- Choosing A new campaign replaces it, and it's removed when the campaign ends.
- A Daily Front run is never saved.
Carrying on from another device
If you sign in with your Earth Ablaze account, a copy of the campaign you're playing is kept on your account too. Only you can load it, and only one is kept. On another device, sign in and choose Carry on from your account on the start screen; it shows the day and when it was saved.
If your account holds a different campaign from the one on this device, the game tells you. The one you're playing carries on where you are, and you can choose the other from the start screen.
You don't need an account to play. As a guest, your campaign stays on your device.
What clears it
Clearing the site's data in your browser removes the saved campaign, your settings (sound, music, whether you've seen the tips, your Daily Front name and which days' ranked runs you've used) and, if you were signed in, your sign-in. Sign in again to get your purchases back.
What needs a connection
The simulation runs in your browser. The map's terrain comes from an online tile service, so the map needs the internet, and so do signing in, buying and the Daily Front leaderboard.
If you've bought a pack, your purchases work offline for up to 90 days at a time, or a week at a time in the first 30 days after you buy. The game fetches a fresh licence whenever it's online.
Known limits
- It's a first playable campaign. The sixty days and the Daily Front are live. Infiltration (special forces through tunnels, by biplane at night, by mini-submarine on the coasts) and close-up scenes are still to come.
- It's fiction. The war hasn't happened, and the invasion, its course and every person in it are invented. Commanders are named by their role.
- There's no playable nuclear use. The escalation clock is the cliff edge: at 100 the campaign is lost.
