Saving, offline play and known limits in Operation Ocean Shield
Operation Ocean Shield saves your deployment in your browser each game day, and on your account if you sign in. How to carry on, what clears it, and its limits.

Your deployment is saved
The game saves your deployment in your browser once a game day, and just before you leave the page to sign in or pay. Open the game again and choose Carry on on the start screen.
- Only one deployment is kept. Starting a new one replaces it, and it's removed when it ends.
- Clearing the site's data removes it.
- A Daily Patrol is never saved.
Carrying on from another device
If you sign in with your Earth Ablaze account, a copy of your deployment is also kept on your account, so you can pick it up on another device. The start screen then offers Carry on from your account, with the day it reached and when it was saved. Choosing it replaces the deployment on that device. You don't need an account to play.
What needs a connection
The game runs in your browser. The map's terrain tiles load from an online service, so the map needs the internet. Signing in, purchases and the Daily Patrol leaderboard need a connection too.
Anything you buy works offline for up to 90 days at a time, or a week at a time in the first 30 days after you buy. See Partner forces and tips.
What's stored on your device
Your settings (sound, music, whether you've seen the tips, your Daily Patrol name and which days' ranked runs you've used), a random statistics ID that isn't linked to you, and your saved deployment. Clearing the site's data removes them. The game's privacy page has the details: https://operationoceanshield.earthablaze.com/privacy
Known limits
- It plays on desktop and tablet, in the browser. There's nothing to install.
- It's a strategy game, not a simulator.
- The boarding scene is a prototype, and you can plan a boarding yourself in the campaign only on a bulk carrier for now. See Taking command.
