The Daily Patrol and the leaderboard

How the 30-day Daily Patrol works in Operation Ocean Shield, which run is your ranked one, how scores are ordered, and how to put your name on the board.

Updated · Play Operation Ocean Shield

What it is

The Daily Patrol is 30 days of the campaign from a set date. The start screen shows today's, for example "30 days from 8 Sep 2010". Everyone who plays on the same UTC date gets the same patrol, and a new one starts at midnight UTC.

One ranked run a day

The first Daily Patrol you start on a date, on a device, is your ranked run, whether you finish it or not. Later runs that day are practice and can't be submitted.

  • Daily runs aren't saved. Reloading the page ends the run, and doesn't give you another ranked one.
  • Your saved deployment isn't touched by a Daily Patrol.
  • The game remembers your ranked runs in your browser. Clearing the site's data forgets them.

How scores are ordered

When the patrol ends you see your grade, your ships taken against the same days in history, and the attacks you stopped. The leaderboard puts the fewest ships taken first, then the most attacks stopped.

To go on the board, type a name (3 to 20 letters, digits, spaces, hyphens or underscores) and press Submit score. Only the name you choose is shown, so pick one that doesn't identify you. Scores are deleted automatically after 24 months.

Today's leaderboard on the start screen shows the board at any time.
